1-choanal atresia
it is an obstruction of posterior nares by either a bone or membrane
if unilateral it will be discovered accidentally but if bilateral it presents by cyanosis on closure of the mouth and inability to pass a suction catheter through the nares during resuscitation
treated by surgical repair
2- Diaphragmatic hernia
part of the liver and intestine is herniated through an opening in the diaphragm and this results in hypoplasia of the lung and scaphoid abdomen.

3-Tracheo-esophageal fistula
there is a fistula between the trachea and the esophagus
the baby presents by chocking , dripping of saliva and recurrent chest infections
diagnosed by chest x ray and treated surgically
4- intestinal obstruction
bilious vomiting is the presentation and no passing of stool and abdominal distention
Do X ray abdomen you will find multiple air fluid level
traeted surgically
