today we are talking about your baby vaccinations schedule.
- at birth:BCG +OPV
- 2/4/6 months old : OPV+DPT+HBV
- 9 month:OPV+Vit A
- 12 months:OPV +MMR
- 18 months:OPV+MMR+DPT +Vit A
These are the vaccines that your baby should receive during his first 18 months.
pertussis vaccine could do some allergy to your baby so when the baby take his first dose of DPT at 2 month you should observe him carefully if one of these symptoms appears ,at 4 month you will give him DT only,
the symptoms are
1- high grade fever >40
2-convulsions
3-presistent high pitched cry for more than 3 hours.
Vit A supplementation is very important to protect against vit A deficiency blindness.
if the baby is immunocompromised ,he should not take any living vaccinations like OPV,BCG,MMR
